Miss Edwardsburg pageant returns

It’s time once again for Miss Edwardsburg hopefuls to start searching for the perfect gown.
An informational meeting and sign up for the Miss Edwardsburg pageant scheduled for Nov. 6 will be held on Saturday at the American Legion from 1 to 4 p.m.
Interested contestants should bring with them the necessary documentation including a birth certificate, grade reports and proof of address.
The first rehearsal will follow on Sunday and take place each and every Sunday and some Tuesdays.
The pageant is comprised of four age categories: Miss and Mr. Edwardsburg contestants should be between the ages of 17 and 20 by March 1, 2010.
Contestants for Miss and Mr. Teen Edwardsburg should be between the ages of 14 and 16 by March 1, Miss and Mr. Preteen Edwardsburg should be between the ages of 10 and 13 by March 1 and Prince and Princess may be between the ages of 6 and 9 also by March 1.
There is a $75 entry fee for the Miss and Mr. Edwardsburg and Miss and Mr. Teen Edwardsburg contestants and a $50 entry fee for preteen, prince and princess contestants.
The pageant will be held Nov. 6 at the Edwardsburg High School Performing Arts Center.
Contestants for Miss and Mr. Edwarsdburg must pay taxes in the district. Contestants in the other three categoris may be participants in the School of Choice program.
This year’s theme for the pageant is “The Partridge Family.” The pageant will be split into two shows: prince, princess and teen at 2 p.m., teen and Miss and Mr. Edwardsburg at 7 p.m.
