‘Murder on Gilligan’s Island’

CASSOPOLIS — On Saturday evening, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m., Barn Swallow Theatre will present its final production of the season, the performance of “Murder on Gilligan’s Island”  and a home-made  pie auction.

The play, a murder mystery spoof in which the Gilligan’s Island castaways try to figure out who’s responsible for the dead body that’s shown up, also features takes on other island- based pop culture touchstones such as “Lost, “Survivor” and “Castaway.”

Barn Swallow alumni from Edwardsburg, Three Rivers and Cassopolis are featured in this classic 1960s character roles.

The highlight feature of the evening is a silent auction of  homemade pies by Barn Swallow’s best bakers with tempting pies waiting to be taken home for your Sunday dinner.

Door prizes will be awarded for those attending in island attire, answering Gilligan’s Island-related trivia, and other related trivia.

This is a fun evening planned for both the audience and the actors.

Refreshments are included in the $15 ticket price.

The evening performance is at the Cass County Council on Aging at the corner of M-60 and Decatur Road east of Cassopolis.
