Edwardsburg Lions reports success for circus

Dear editor:

The Edwardsburg Lions would like to thank the community for their support on coming to the Kelly Miller Circus Friday, Aug. 27. This was the best year ever.

The show was fantastic and seemed to be enjoyed by all with the tigers, camels, elephants, dogs, clowns and acrobatic show. There was plenty of eats and plenty to do for the kids who were able to ride the ponies, camels and elephants.

As seen in some of the pictures the kids certainly were having a good time. The Edwardsburg Lions Club greatly appreciates the support of the community so the organization can in turn support the community for such things as help with eye glasses, appointments, leader dogs, handicap ramps, food pantry, scholarships and sending kids to Camp Chris for the deaf.

The Lions Club hosts the circus event every two years so look for them to come back in 2012. Each time they change their venue a bit differently so spectators can enjoy new acts. This year again was spectacular. Thank you to all area communities.
