Chamber, LMC to offer business seminars

The Four Flags Area Chamber of Commerce and Lake Michigan College-Bertrand Crossing Campus in Niles have collaborated on a selection of business seminars and Webinars.  Chamber members should register at the chamber at 683-3720. Non-members must register at LMC at 695-1391.

• “OSHA — What You Need to Know” — The class is Friday, Sept. 17 from 9 to 11 a.m. at LMC. Cost is $15 for Four Flags Chamber members; non-members are $25.

• “Sustained Profitability: Developing a Customer Loyalty Strategy” — This two-hour workshop will benefit CEOs, managers, supervisors, non-profits, business owners and staff. This class is Tuesday, Sept. 21 from 3 to 5 p.m. at LMC. Cost is $40 for Four Flags Chamber members in advance; non-members are $55 at the door.

• “Introduction to Social Media“ — Look at the best ways to market your business with Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, social bookmarking sites and mobile marketing. The instructor for all Webinars is Wayne Clayton, social media expert with socialmarketingexpert.org. High-speed Internet is required for all Webinars. This Webinar is Tuesday, Sept. 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. Cost is $59 for non-members and $35 for Chamber members.

• “Beginners Guide to Using Twitter For Fun and Profit in Your Small Business” — Explore how to leverage Twitter for fun and profit. The Webinar is Tuesday, Sept. 21 from 7 to 9 p.m. Cost is $59 for non-members and $35 for Chamber members.

• “Facebook” — This is a beginners’ guide to using Facebook effectively in your small business. The Webinar is Tuesday, Sept. 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. Cost is $59 for non-members and $35 for Chamber members.

• “Beginners Guide to Using LinkedIn to Connect Your Small Business” — This class will help you understand why most people don’t get many results from their online networking actions and how you can quickly turn that situation around using LinkedIn. The Webinar is Tuesday, Oct. 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. Cost is $59 for non-members and $35 for Chamber members.
