Niles now has its own shop — or shack, specifically — to indulge your sweet tooth.

The Candy Shack opened three weeks ago at 906 Main St., across from Concord Custom Cleaners.

Owner Cortez Parchman said business has been good, especially on weekdays.

“The snow cones are really popular here,” he said.

Parchman leases the “shack,” formerly home to a car dealership. He said he decided to open the candy store because of “all of the kids that were in the neighborhood.”

The Candy Shack carries a wide variety of “penny” candies, like chews and Frooties, as well as children’s favorites like Ring Pops and Sour Patch Kids. They also offer cans of pop, chips for a quarter, dill pickles and frozen treats.

“Nothing in here’s a dollar,” Parchman said.

Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
