Dear friends:

As Berrien County sheriff, I would like to urge you all to vote for John Proos for state Senate Aug. 3.

John knows that one of the primary  and most important functions of government is to keep our communities and families safe.

I have dedicated my professional career to this goal, and I trust John to carry this ideal forward.

I have joined with Sheriffs Joe Underwood of Cass County, Dale Gribler of Van Buren County, many of our local police chiefs; and the Michigan Association of Police Organizations to formally endorse John in his campaign for state Senate.

My colleagues and I believe John understands what law enforcement officers need to do their jobs most effectively and to protect our communities.
