What is the big deal about the theory of evolution and why are Christians so up in arms about their children being taught this theory as fact?

The Academy of Arts will be performing “Creation, Evolution and the Flood” on Sunday, July 25, at 6 p.m. at Volinia Baptist Church.

The church address is 19526 Marcellus Highway, Decatur.

This fast-paced multi-media dramatic presentation will take you through the Biblical creation week and contrast it with the foibles of evolutionary theory.

The choric speaking cast will double as students in a classroom where they will learn, along with you, the finer points of the Biblical account of creation and how the fossil record supports the worldwide flood of the Bible.

You will see and hear the apostle Paul preach at Mars Hill, challenging the philosophers of his day who believed in evolutionary theory before the word “evolution” had even been coined.

You will be inspired as you see Noah guide his family to build and seek refuge in the Ark.

You will thrill to hear the Scriptures dramatically quoted and see the visual representations as the Bible comes to life before your eyes.

If you have ever questioned your belief in the Scriptures because of oppositions of science, this is a presentation you will not want to miss!

The Academy of Arts, a professional Christian theater team from Taylors, S.C., employs professional stage lights, sound effects, costumes, props and multi-image techniques to present Biblical, historical, patriotic and moral themes on stage.

The group has been “Making the Bible Come Alive” since 1971. Creation, Evolution, and the Flood was written by Ken Hines.
