Area first responders rushed to the scene of a single vehicle accident early Wednesday morning on US-12 heading into Niles.

According to Michigan State Police Trooper Jim McGaffigan, the operator of the vehicle appeared to lose control after over-correcting a turn.

The Michigan State Police were aided at the scene by the Edwardsburg Ambulance Service.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident and the driver, McGaffigan said, was wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident.

After over-correcting, the diver veered off the highway and the vehicle rolled over, landing on its side.

McGaffigan said there were no injuries sustained by the driver in the accident.
