McDonald’s on Friday retracted its announcement published  June 15 that Dowagiac’s restaurant had been selected to test market the new McCafe Frozen Strawberry Lemonade.

“I apologize,” Vice President Michael Zalewski wrote in an e-mail from Grand Rapids.
“However, because it is in a different region, Dowagiac McDonald’s (is) not participating. We regret the error and apologize for sending this to your paper in error. Nearby restaurants in Three Rivers and Paw Paw have the product, but again, they are in a different region.”
