To the editor:

Remember that old saw, “I’m from the government, and I’m here to help you?”

And now Rep. John Proos of the Michigan House wants to create a new “Office of Entrepreneurship Services” to attract businesses to Michigan.

This was outlined in your May 18 paper.

Apparently Rep. Proos hasn’t heard the word yet … Americans and American businesses want LESS government, NOT more.

Think of the millions of dollars that can be saved in Michigan’s distressed budget if we DON’T hire more bureaucrats to tell us how to run our lives.

Let’s let the Michigan Chamber of Commerce and other business organizations promote Michigan, not having another breaucracy to do it.

Is there any political conservative out there who can challenge Rep. Proos in the next primary election?
