Nature Saplings: Hummingbirds
Children ages 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 with an adult enjoy an introduction to nature from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Learn about the colorful current arrivals in our backyards – hummingbirds.

Among the smallest of birds, they can hover in mid-air by rapidly flapping their wings up to 90 times per second. They can also fly backward, and are the only group of birds able to do so. Dress for walking the trails. Class size is limited; call ahead. Fee is $5 per child/adult pair (members $4 per child/adult pair).
