Buchanan Art Center to host tea party Sunday
Published 2:21 pm Wednesday, May 19, 2010
You are invited to a tea party Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. hosted by the Buchanan Art Center to honor and appreciate its wonderful, hard-working volunteers and to introduce themselves to anyone who may be interested in helping them keep the arts alive in our community.
The Buchanan Art Center is committed to offering quality teaching programs for children from preschool through the teen years and has partnered with local school systems, home-schooling programs and others to offer art education which will motivate and inspire creative thought, problem-solving and personal expression. The director of education, Marie Remington, spends many hours weekly researching class offerings, for both children and adults, locating and recruiting quality teachers and scheduling classes.
All of this takes the support of many people with varying skills from sweeping galleries to answering phones and greeting first time visitors to the Buchanan Art Center. There will be tours and refreshments available.
RSVP by calling (269) 697-4005 and tell the volunteer who answers the phone you’ll be there.
