Niles’ Noble shoots 31 at Harbor Shores

BENTON HARBOR – The Niles golf team wrapped up Big 16 Conference West Division play on Monday at Harbor Shores.

The Vikings won the jamboree with a score of 163 to finish second overall behind Mattawan, which won the division title by two points.

“One match we didn’t do very well and it killed us,” Niles coach Greg Gunder lamented.
The Wildcats finished second on Monday after shooting 168. St. Joseph and Lakeshore were second and third respectively with scores of 173 and 174.

The Bears and Lancers will finish that way in the overall standings as well.

Benton Harbor was fifth with a 274.

The Vikings’ Chris Noble shot a four-under par 31 on Monday to grab medalist honors.
Noble started out with a pair of birdies and finished the round with just 13 putts.

The Vikings also got a 41 from Christian Ezell, a 43 from John Schrader, a 48 from Jared Langmeyer and a pair of 50s from Cole Hensel and Sam Clark.
