Silver Creek Township voters will be asked Tuesday to approve a one-mill police and fire millage proposal for five years, 2010-2014.
Approval of the levy would provide an estimated $210,087 in 2010.
Two positions on the Dowagiac Board of Education will be filled May 4, although incumbent Larry Seurynck and newcomer Julia Smith are the only candidates.
Bill Lawrence did not seek re-election.
Dowagiac school district voters will also be asked to renew an operating millage proposal so it can continue to levy the statutory rate of 18 mills on all property except principal residences and other property exempted by law.
The millage means $4,525,263 to the district which expired with the 2009 levy.
Edwardsburg voters face a similar 18-mill request which in that district generates $1,594,604.
Edwardsburg Public Schools also has two school board positions and two candidates, Michael Gordon and Douglas A. Hall.
In Marcellus, Community Schools voters have two seats, but just one potential trustee, Tim Henry.
Marcellus schools have two proposals.
The one for 18 mills generates $22,719.
Another proposal for 1.25 mills would create a sinking fund for five years, 2010-2014, for building repair with an amount estimated at $195,000.
Polls are open 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Dowagiac votes at City Hall.
