A benefit is planned May 22 for Wayne Township firefighter Chuck Squires, who passed away April 9.

Eagles Aerie 2441 has opened the club up to the public for this event so the public is welcome to attend.

A roast hog dinner costs $8 for all you can eat with sides and dessert.

Dinner will be served from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Eagles Club in Dowagiac.

Dancing and party to follow to Nick @ Nite DJing. There will be auctions through the night. Many donations have been made  to the auction. Just to list a few, Coach Purses, 10 Yards of Gravel and Tupperware.

They hope to make this an annual event in honor of Chuck to benefit other Wayne Township firefighters.
