Missing man found Tuesday night

A five-hour search Tuesday for a 72-year-old missing Gary, Ind. man who has Alzheimer’s disease resulted in success.
Lary Baily was discovered after a detailed search where he had last been spotted by citizens.
Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reported Tuesday evening that his office was looking for Baily, who was dropped off at his ex-wife’s residence in the 1600 block of Hodgson Road, and left the residence on foot walking toward Lewis Lake Road. He had last been seen about 4 p.m. northeast of Vandalia at White Temple Road.
The subject was found at 8 p.m. in a wooded area after a door-to-door search had begun in Penn and Newburg townships area. He was transported to Three Rivers General Hospital in Three Rivers by Life Care Ambulance in good condition.
The search was conducted by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and the Penn Township Fire Department. Assisting in the search were detectives from the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team, Cass County Community Emergency Response Team, South Bend Med Flight and A Child Is Missing.
