Strut Your Mutt is Saturday, May 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Council on Aging, M-60 and Decatur Road in Cassopolis.

A registration fee of pet supplies or money is asked for the animal shelter. All donations are used for shelter animals, medical care and spay/neuter assistance. This gala event features agility demonstrations, pet food vendors, Ask the Vet, grooming, pet equipment garage sale and much more.

There are K-9 competition contests of “Best Dressed” and “Most Talented,” with neck ribbons for the winners.

During the Strut Your Mutt event, the annual Walkathon is going on also. If you want to participate, feel free to contact the animal shelter or the COA to pick up a pledge sheet and sign up all your friends.

There is no rain date this year. Woof Studios will be on hand to take pictures. This year they have a green screen to make many backgrounds available for you to choose. Woofs donates part of their fee to the animal shelter. Call 445-1233 to make your appointment for a great picture of your pet-humans too. Woofs will also take walk-ins.
