It may only be April, but college football fans have been in pigskin heaven all month long as teams wrap up spring ball with their annual scrimmages.

Michigan held its game at the Big House in Ann Arbor last weekend and now it is time for Notre Dame and Michigan State to do the same.

While a lot of attention was focused on Michigan’s annual spring game last Saturday for all the wrong reasons, the eyes of the country will be on Notre Dame this weekend during the Blue and Gold Game.

This will be the first time Fighting Irish fans will get a look at what new coach Brian Kelly plans to do.

There is a lot of excitement building around the Notre Dame program and Kelly.

There have been a lot of changes made already and some of them will be unveiled on Saturday at Notre Dame Stadium.

While the weather doesn’t look promising, it probably won’t matter as a large crowd, perhaps the largest crowd to ever view a spring game at Notre Dame, is expected.

Tickets are still available and if you are ready for some college football, although it’s only a scrimmage, head across the border to watch the Irish or head north to East Lansing and take in the Spartans’ annual Green and White Game.
