Jennifer Meyer, a first-year graduate student in the school of social work at Western Michigan University, was awarded the Robert Barston Scholarship at the Scholarship awards Presentation and Reception on Tuesday April 13.

Meyer received her bachelor of applied arts degree from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. and is a 2002 graduate of Niles High School.

She is the daughter of Charles (Ed) and Mary Meyer, of Niles.
