The Board of Directors of the Berrien County Youth Fair has announced that Lana Stover-Henderson has been hired as the fair manager effective April 15.  The previous fair manager, Chris Carlin, retired Jan. 31 and Pam Hirsch, past BCYF president, has served as interim fair manager since Carlin’s retirement.

Stover-Henderson is no stranger to the BCYF, growing up in Berrien Springs and exhibiting at the fair until enlisting in the United States Air Force. Her grandfather, father and uncle helped to build the first BCYF building on the current fairgrounds in 1948.

During her service career, Stover-Henderson has successfully managed people and events throughout the world. Her most recent assignment before retirement from the USAF was at the Pentagon as the deputy chief of the Executive Services Human Resources Division.
Stover-Henderson and her husband, Howard, chose to make Berrien Springs their home in 2007.

The Board of Directors greatly appreciates the efforts of Hirsch as the interim fair manager.  Hirsch’s knowledge of the organization has been a great asset during this time of transition, the board said in a release.
