College students home for the summer and Class of 2010 high school graduates have the opportunity to jump-start their college business degrees at the Lake Michigan College Bertrand Crossing Campus in Niles this summer.

The campus will offer courses in introduction to business, macroeconomics, principles of marketing and business statistics. All business courses meet in the evening for 10 weeks, June 7 through Aug. 13.

The summer session also provides students the chance for early entry into the Business Cohort Program on the Bertrand Crossing Campus. The cohort allows students to complete a two-year associate degree in three years of part-time study. Cohorts are available for both the associate in business administration degree and the management and marketing associate in applied business degree.

To learn more about the summer session at the Bertrand Crossing Campus, students can call Greg Iwaniuk, business adviser, at (800) 252-1562 ext. 2949. Interested students can also reach him by e-mail at iwaniuk@lakemichigancollege.edu.
