Learn about Vietnam War in ‘Lest We Forget’ classes at LMC

This month marks the halfway point and third installment of Lest We Forget’s Vietnam War Class offered this Winter-Spring Semester through Lake Michigan College’s Community Education Program.
Follow along on the dark journey Tuesday, March 30 through some of the emotional, psychological and physical issues plaguing many soldiers. Discover symptoms, causes and complications of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); learn of the far-reaching health concerns from exposure to Agent Orange – the herbicide used to defoliate the dense jungle cover. Gain an understanding of survivor remorse and learn about VA Support to Veterans.
This course covering the Vietnam War is offered by local veterans and members of Lest We Forget. Join the next class Tuesday, April 27, when topics will be My Lai, Drugs, Women serving in Vietnam and the Phoenix Program.

Class meets the last Tuesday of the remaining months (March through May) from 7 to 9 p.m. on the Napier Campus of LMC in the Blue Lecture Hall. Join them for one night or the remainder of the series for an education you won’t soon forget.
