Patricia J. McLaughlin, 82, of Niles passed away at 11:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010 following a brief illness at her home.

She was born April 20, 1927 in Buchanan to Leo Finney and Gladys (Graham) Finney.
She graduated from Buchanan High School in 1945 and lived in her present home since 1951. She was formerly employed at Simplicity Pattern Company in Niles.

She was also formerly employed as a beautician. She was involved in her children’s activities and centered her life around her family.

She was married on Sept. 11, 1948 to Kenneth D. McLaughlin, who proceeded her in death on Dec, 19, 1992, in Buchanan.

She is survived by sons Steven L. McLaughlin of Dowagiac and Donald L. McLaughlin of Crecent City, Fla.; grandchild Shawn McLaughlin; and many aunts, uncles and cousins, including Patti Johnson and Dolores Amiel.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 26 at Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles. The Rev. Reed Anderstrom of Calvary Baptist Church, South Bend, Ind., will officiate.

Burial will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan.
