LMC offering cooking classes

Lake Michigan College’s Bertrand Crossing Campus and Orchard Hills Country Club are partnering to offer two non-credit Community Education cooking workshops.
The classes will be held at Orchard Hills Country Club, 2841 Niles-Buchanan Rd., Buchanan. Club Executive Chef Steve Nebus will serve as instructor.
‘In Search of the Perfect Corned Beef and Cabbage’
Nebus will offer tips and give advice on how to prepare the perfect St. Patrick’s Day meal Saturday, March 13 from 10 a.m. to noon. He will address cuts of meat, seasonings, cooking and presentation. Course fee includes a sampling of the food he has prepared. Cost is $10.
‘In Search of the Perfect Omelet’
Nebus will teach attendees how to create a perfect omelet Saturday, March 20 from 9 to 11 a.m The class will provide a short look at the origins of the omelet, followed by a demonstration and participants will break eggs to whip up their own creations, the cost of which is included in the price. Cost is $10.
