Dear editor:

This is Chuck Rodgers saying thanks to the Niles Daily Star; you have restored my faith in the power of the press. I thought that it would be a while before this (letter, “Former Tyler employee critical of United Way fund for laid-off workers,” Feb. 11) was printed or even that it might not be printed. I was wrong.

The Niles Daily Star – again, pat yourself on the back; you deserve it. In today’s society where things get buried and lost you did the right thing by printing my whole letter to the editor. I do not want anyone to think I am blaming Tyler in any way. They did the right thing by giving the money out. Tyler was a great place to work and great people also. It’s just sad how things turned out.

Again, Niles Daily Star – kudos to you. I hope this makes it to print to show that people when you think you’re wronged, bring it to the public’s attention. It doesn’t always change the past, but hopefully it can change the future by bringing things to the light. Again, thank you so much Niles Daily Star.
