There are times in everyone’s life when they need to make critical decisions.
They may be about financial issues or health issues.
They may about travel or a new job.
The choices we make define who we are as a person.
One has to wonder just how someone makes the decision to take the life of another person.
There are random acts of violence and then there are those who are perpetrated against someone they know.
This seems to be the case in the double homicide of John and Carolyn Tarwacki.
Police believe that this was no random act of violence, which should put us a little more at ease, but it cannot erase all our fears.
The person who committed this crime is still on the loose.
Officials have a vague description of the perpetrator, but few leads that they are sharing with the public.
They are asking for the help of the community in the form of information.
We can think of no better way for the people of Niles and those who travel Carberry Road to honor the memory of John and Carolyn than to help capture the suspect.
More details seem to come on a regular basis now, but we still are at a loss as to why someone would commit such a crime against two people who seemed to have been hard working and nice.
We would make yet another plea to anyone who has information about the crime or think they may have seen the suspect walking along the roadside the morning of the murders.
You can call the Cass County Sheriff’s Office at 445-1201 or the Michigan State Police at 683-4411 with your information.
