Lakeland hires new VP of human resources

Lakeland HealthCare recently announced the appointment of Norma Tirado as the organization’s vice president of human resources and health information technology.

Tirado has extensive experience in the areas of both human resources and health information technology. Most recently, she served as senior vice president of employee and information services at Agnesian HealthCare, a 300-bed health system based in Fond du Lac, Wis. Tirado has taught classes in leadership, management and organizational development at Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac and Keller Graduate School of Management in Waukesha, Wis.

“We are excited to have an executive with a rich background in both human resources and I.T. issues joining Lakeland,” said Dr. Loren Hamel, president and CEO, Lakeland HealthCare. “Norma will be a valuable resource to our organization and to our community.”

A graduate of Marquette University, Tirado also holds the executive master in business administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Tirado is a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration of the American Hospital Association.
Tirado will be relocating to southwest Michigan with her husband, Kevin Kellenberger, and their teenage son. The family also has two grown children.
