Lake Michigan College offering 2 free job-seeker workshops

Lake Michigan College’s Bertrand Crossing Campus is offering two free non-credit Community Education workshops to assist job seekers in their pursuit of employment. Classes will be held at the LMC Bertrand Crossing Campus, 1905 Foundation Drive, Niles.
‘In Search of the Perfect Cover Letter’
In today’s world, the cover letter is more important than ever. Job seekers only have a few seconds to grab a prospective employer’s attention and “sell” themselves. Attendees in this class will learn the basics to crafting a well-written and impressive cover letter.
“In Search of the Perfect Cover Letter” will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13 in BC 109. The class is free.
‘How to Nail a Job Interview’
Participants in this workshop will learn valuable skills and helpful tips on how to navigate through today’s job interview process. The class will also cover the most common mistakes people make and how to avoid them, and will also address salary negotiations.
“How to Nail a Job Interview” will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27 in BC 109. The class is free.
