Dorothy H. Paulsen, 90, of Sister Lakes, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at Lakeland Continuing Care Center following an illness.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at Legacy Family Funeral Services – Matthew R. Purchase Chapel, with Roger Cabe, Worship Pastor at Berrien Center Bible Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in Dewey Lake Cemetery, Sister Lakes, following the services.

Dorothy was born on July 15, 1919, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Carl and Lola Mae (Collins) Hildebrandt.
On Nov. 15, 1942, she married Donald Paulsen. They were happily married for 65 years.
Dorothy loved her family and friends. She enjoyed having everyone at her home at Sister Lakes, where she lived most of her life. She always commented how blessed she was to have so many people in her life.
She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed sharing her talent with those who visited her home.
Dorothy was a member of a group of former Benton Harbor High School Class of 1939 ladies who met for monthly luncheons at Babe’s.
Survivors include: two daughters, Donna (Larry) Johnson of Hartford and Martha Paulsen of Coloma; three sons, Richard (Carolyn) Paulsen of Berrien Center, David (Kathleen) Paulsen of Zeeland and Frederick (Marilyn) Paulsen of Coloma; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild soon to enter the world.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, one brother Earl Hildebrandt and one grandson, Derek Paulsen.
