Eight vehicles, including four semis, were involved in an accident on Interstate 94 Wednesday night.

Michigan State Police troopers were dispatched to eastbound I-94 near the 35 mile marker to a multi-vehicle injury accident at 10:50 p.m.

A 34-year-old Florida male and a 24-year-old Watervliet female suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

The chain reaction accident was caused when an eastbound semi lost control, jacknifed and was struck by a second semi. Two more semis and four cars became involved in the accident.

Eastbound I-94 was closed for approximately two hours while crews cleared the freeway.

The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department and Medic One Ambulance assisted at the scene.
