Dowagiac District Library is bringing one of the best digital photography instructors in the area to DDL for a beginning digital photography presentation Tuesday, Jan. 26, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Jack St. Pierre, owner of Gene’s Camera in South Bend, Ind., has been teaching people about digital photography since it started to get popular in 1995 with the release of the Kodak DC40 digital still camera. St. Pierre’s interest in photography began when he worked on the school newspaper in high school.  He continued to photograph sports events for a local newspaper while in college.

Now he teaches his customers how to take better photos using the new digital technology.
This program will begin with an audio visual presentation, then allow for a question and answer session. This program is free to amateur photographers, and anyone who wants to learn tips in taking better photographs.
