Lake Michigan College to offer CNA training

Lake Michigan College’s Workforce Training Institute is offering a 98-hour Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) training program beginning on Monday, January 18. The classes will be held at Cedarwood Medical Facility, 820 Lester Ave., St Joseph.

The Certified Nursing Aide program is a state-approved curriculum, which qualifies individuals to take the Michigan CNA Examination (exam not included as part of class). This program includes clinical experience and KeyTrain, WorkKeys and College and Career Essentials.

Classes will be held Mondays through Wednesdays from 8 a.m. from 2:30 p.m. through March 5.

On time, daily attendance is mandatory for this class. Cost of the program is $999, and includes books and scrub top, which will be distributed at the first class.

Another CNA training session will begin March 8.
