Lakeland-Niles’ first baby of the New Year was born Friday, Jan. 1 to a Buchanan couple.

Wendy Weathers and Morton Dykema II are the parents of a daughter, Stormy Forrest, born Jan. 1, 2010 at Lakeland-Niles. She weighed 8 pounds, 13 ounces.

The Dykemas are also the parents of a son, Anthony, 15; and two daughters, Shelby, 9, and Alyssa, 14.

Maternal grandparents are the late Gary Weathers and Marilyn Weathers of Galien. Paternal grandparents are Doris and Mitchell Dykema Sr. of Buchanan.

Maternal great-grandmother is the late Martha Bennett. Paternal great-grandparents are the late Thelma Rose and the late Pauline Marion.
