State Rep. Sharon Tyler, R-Niles, did not miss a single vote during the 2009 House legislative session, making her one of the few Michigan lawmakers who can boast a perfect voting record.
“When I’m voting I always try to remember that the outcome affects families here at home, and I take a lot of time to study the issues,” Tyler said.
According to the nonpartisan Web site www.michiganvotes.org, less than a third of Michigan lawmakers maintained a perfect voting record. In total, Tyler cast 682 votes in the House this year.
