Leader Publications has hired an additional reporter, Aaron Mueller.

Aaron was born and raised in Kalamazoo, where he graduated from Portage Northern High School.

He graduated from Spring Arbor University with a degree in professional writing and a minor in cross cultural communications.

He worked as the editor of the Spring Arbor campus newspaper for two years, while freelancing for the sports and news desks at the Jackson Citizen Patriot.

Mueller also spent a summer as a news reporter intern at the Three Rivers Commercial-News.

Upon graduation, Aaron worked as a sports writer intern at his hometown newspaper, the Kalamazoo Gazette, where he covered everything from high school sports to junior USTA tennis to women’s professional football.

In his spare time, Aaron enjoys writing, listening to music, playing basketball and following his favorite sports teams – the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs.

He also enjoys traveling and spent a month studying in Germany while in college.
