The Berrien County Republican Party will be hosting a HealthCare Forum on Oct. 28 in Berrien Springs at the RESA Building (formerly Barrien County ISD) at 711 St. Joseph Ave. from 7 to 9 p.m. and the public is encouraged to attend.

The purpose of the forum is to have an open discussion on what are the health care industry’s best practices and how we could implement them in a fashion to benefit individuals, health care providers and administrators.

They plan to arrive at four to five ideas on improving the current system and then presenting them to Congressman Upton’s office.

At the conclusion of the panel’s discussion there will be a question-and-answer session with the audience.

The list of panelists represent a wide range of professionals that deal with the health care system and it will include private physicians, Lakeland Hospital, municipal and county government, local insurance companies, non-profit agencies and Congressman Upton’s office.
