Patrick’s life began on June 5, 1983, in Dowagiac, the son of Patrick O’Riley Carter Sr. and Mary Lou (Cox) Carter.
He is a 2002 graduate of Marcellus High School.
Patrick worked as a dry wall installer and enjoyed doing many odd jobs.
He was there to help everyone and only asked for friendship in return.
Patrick was protective and loyal to his family and friends.
He was well known for his cooking and he loved his food spicy.
He had returned to his faith and was a member of the New Life Church under the leadership of Bishop Tommy Reels.
His loving family includes: his parents, Patrick and Mary Carter of Dowagiac; a son, Joseph; sister, Angelica Carter; brothers, Casey and Jasper Carter, all of Dowagiac; half sisters, Stephanie Deuel of Cassopolis and Bobbie Jo Whitmire of Dowagiac; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Carter of Niles; special niece, Oriana Carter of Dowagiac; and a host of loving relatives and friends.
Patrick’s life ended suddenly on Monday, Octl 19, 2009.
His family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. led by Bishop Tommy Reels of the New Life Church.
Patrick will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton.
