BERRIEN SPRINGS –  On Monday, Sept. 28, 2009 VFW POST 4952 will host a speaking event at the All Nations SDA Church 4259 East Snow Road, Berrien Springs.
The event will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. and will cover many topics for veterans. As most of us know whether you are a WWII Veteran or a current day Veteran returning back from Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, etc. A Veteran has many needs to be addressed and some of them do not know where to turn to, or who to turn to for help with the many needs that they have.

Speakers and topics for the evening will include:

The Rev. Lt. Col. Keith Mattingly: Special Walk of the Military

The Rev. Lt Col. James North: Follow-up on Spiritual Objectives

Post Commander Jim Ball: Results of Un-Preparedness to meet Military Objectives
(Some personnel end up as P.O.Ws)

Col. Don Alsbro: “Lest We Forget” Looking forward to the future

Commander District 7 Jim Tanner:  Availability of VA benefits

From World War I to today the local VFW Post is a much needed place for our Veterans to gather and exchange information about their needs.

The VFW Post provides a Veteran or current day soldier a place to go and talk about issues due to life at the battle front which can bring many issues of its own such as physical disabilities, emotional disabilities or financial disabilities.

No matter what, a Veteran knows when he walks into the doors of a local VFW Post he has a place to speak, share and receive much needed information from other fellow Veterans all without the feeling of fitting in or shame.

This event is FREE to attend and open to all veterans.
