BERRIEN SPRINGS — The Southwestern Michigan Home Builders Association (SWMHBA) would like to thank the staff, volunteers, builders, & committee members for all their hard work over the past year to make the 13th annual Parade of Homes a success!

Committee members Trudy Wilder-Miller, Jeff Kowerduck, Tracy Marsh, Todd Rush, John Laubenstein, Brian Shier & Corey Busch volunteered countless hours to make sure your experience was an enjoyable one.

Several builders were awarded a “Best of…” award and given a plaque to display in their homes during the Parade. Awards given were:
$500,000 and Up
*  Best Kitchen & Bath, The Shier Signature Home.
*  Best Exterior Living/Site Design, The Shier Signature Home.
*  Best Floor Plan, The Shier Signature Home.
*  Best Interior Design, The Shier Signature Home.

$350,000 to $499,000
* Best Kitchen & Bath, Inovateus Development
*  Best Exterior Living/Site Design, Inovateus Development.
*  Best Floor Plan, Inovateus Development.
*  Best Interior Design, Inovateus Development

Up to $189,000
*  Best Floor Plan, Harbor Habitat for Humanity.
In addition to taking all 4 awards in his category, Brian Shier of The Shier Signature Home was also awarded the People’s Choice Award.  This award is given to the communities favorite house, and as this year’s winner, Brian’s home will be displayed on the front cover of the 2010 Parade of Homes Guidebook.
