Pathfinders also starts school Sept. 8

Program Director Larry Schmidt has announced the following dates and times regarding the start of the 2009-10 school year:
Pathfinders alternative education
The first day of school for students attending Pathfinders Alternative will be Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Students will attend that day according to their a.m./p.m. schedule.
Registration for students new to the program has begun.
New students aged 16-19 who are interested in becoming enrolled should pick up an application at the Pathfinders Building, 501 N. Paul St. (on the curve across from Union High School).
Students from last year who are returning to the program will be contacted regarding a.m. or p.m. placement.

Pathfinders adult education
Registration for GED preparation and/or high school completion with a diploma for students aged 20 and up has begun.
Students may register at the Pathfinders Building (see above) daily from 8 a.m. through 4 p.m.

An orientation for adult education students will be held on Monday, Sept. 14, at either 9 a.m. or 6 p.m.
Pathfinders adult education (Spanish version)
GED preparation and testing is being offered in Spanish at Sister Lakes Elementary School.
Registration will be held there on today, Sept. 2, at 4:30 p.m. and will continue daily.
Hours of instruction are tentatively scheduled for Mondays-Thursdays from 4:30 through 8:30 p.m.
Instruction will be available for ages 16 and up.
