Service pin awarded to Subera

DOWAGIAC – The Southwestern Michigan College Board of Trustees awarded a pin for five years service to Joyce Subera. She began her career at SMC in 1996 as a part time instructor.
In 2003 she qualified to become a regular adjunct faculty member.
Subera holds the associate of arts degree from Southwestern Michigan College, the Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University, and the Master of Arts degree from Western Michigan University.
Prior to coming to SMC, she served as director of special reading and tag math at Michiana First Assembly Christian School in Niles and as a substitute teacher at area schools.
Subera taught college reading and freshman English during the 2009 spring semester.
She and her husband reside in Cassopolis and have two grown children.
