Noah Woods, of Cassopolis, a student at Ross Beatty Junior High school has been selected into the People to People World Leadership Forum.

He will be traveling with a select group of student to Washington D.C. Sept. 7-12 to study leadership and explore some of the United States’ most prominent monuments and institutions.

He was nominated and accepted for this honor based on outstanding scholastic merit, civic involvement and leadershiop potential.

Woods has also been named a 2009 Great Lakes Scholar. He won first place in the Patriot Pen awards in the local competition and finished second at the District level.

Noah will be entering the seventh grade this fall. He is the son of Stephen and Robyn Woods of Cassopolis.
