DECATUR – You don’t want to miss Ag Affair III, the 2009 Cass County on-farm educational field day.

Ag Affair III will be held Aug. 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. and will be hosted by High Quality Farms (Dave and Stacey High).

Their farm is located at 51334 Goodenough Road, Decatur.

High Quality Farms produce seed corn, wheat, green beans, commercial corn and soybeans.

Topics for this year’s event include but are not limited to the following: commodity markets (how and when to lock in prices), Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP) Phase 1, Farmers Care (update on Humane Society of  the United States and how it is affecting the ag community), farming in today’s economy (practices that could save you money and protect the environment) and an update from Pioneer Hi-Bred.

Join them for some food, door prizes and listen to experts talk about these topics.
