Bowling leagues looking for participants

The Saturday Night Mixed Doubles, Wednesday Night Ladies and Thursday Night Ladies at Joey Armadillo’s is looking for bowlers.

The Saturday night league is looking for couples or teams (two couples) for its league, which starts Sept. 12 and bowls every other week at 6:30 p.m.

The Wednesday and Thursday night leagues are looking for a couple of teams of five bowlers.

Buchanan volleyball tryouts begin Wednesday

Tryouts for Buchanan High School’s varsity and junior varsity volleyball teams will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at the Buchanan High School gym from 9 a.m. until noon each day.

Interested candidates must have a physical on file in the athletic office before trying out.
