White wins derby feature

CASSOPOLIS – Jay White III captured the feature of the Cass County Fair Demolition Derby Monday night in the grandstands.

White advanced out of the second heat along with Arron Parrish of Cassopolis and Henry Krohne of Dowagiac.

Advancing out of the first heat were Josh Jerz of Dowagiac, Leonard Baldwin, also of Dowagiac, and Cassopolis’ Todd Collins.

Out of the consolation heat came Andy Crocker of Dowagiac, Diana Myers of Edwardsburg and Chris Primley of Dowagiac.

Myers finished second in the feature, while Baldwin took third and Crocker fourth.
Crocker was a winner in the 2-wheel drive trucks division.

Dowagiac’s Matthew Wise took second, Niles’ Michael Mattlock was third and Edwardsburg’s Samuel Davis was fourth.

In the minis division, Ed Minex of Niles was the winner with Ashley McElheny of Cassopolis taking second.

Cassopolis’ Steve Tucker and Dowagiac’s Ryan Laylin finished third and fourth respectively.

Motorized Madness continues tonight with the second demolition derby.

Action will begin in the grandstands at 7 p.m.
