A special meeting of the Dowagiac Board of Education has been called for Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Wolverine Building administrative offices, 206 Main St.

President Randy Cuthbert said the purpose of the meeting is a work session covering updates on stimulus grants, state funding, student achievement and a review of board goals, training and the evaluation process.
