To the editor:

Couldn’t help but comment on Herb Phillipson’s letter to the editor on July 28 providing his support for socialized medicine.

By coincidence, I was reading that letter when a Canadian acquaintance from Ontario called me on the phone.

I had to read him the letter.

His reaction was, “Is that man out of his mind?”

Apparently, many Canadians aren’t on board with the dream of socialized medicine’s many promised blessings.

Having spent much time in socialist paradises during my working career, I’m not, either.
Mr. Phillipson makes the comment, “Both Social Security and Medicare are models of well-run governmental programs.”

Enough said.
