Niles, Buchanan lands players in contest

Niles and Buchanan will send four players to East Lansing next week to compete in the Michigan High School Coaches Association All-Star Game.
Niles’ Jenna Ignowski, Maggie Ernsberger and Nellie Coquillard will all play on the Division 2 White team.
Ignowski, Ernsberger and Coquillard will be playing their final high school game before heading off to Eastern Michigan, Kalamazoo Valley and Eastern Michigan respectively.
The Niles trio all earned All-State honors with Ignowski being named Miss Softball – Pitcher.
Playing for the Red squad will be Lakehsore’s Natalie Amicarelli and Amy Knapp.
The Division 2 game will be played at 9:30 a.m. at Ranney Park in East Lansing on Wednesday, July 22.
The Division 1 game will follow at 11:30, while the Division 4 game will be played at 1:30 p.m. and the Division 3 game at 3:30.
Buchanan’s Jayme O’Bryant will compete on the Division 3 Red team.
O’Bryant will continue her collegiate career at Michigan State University.
O’Bryant was a Division 3 All-State selection.
Southwest lower Michigan will also be represented in the Division 4 All-Star Game as Lake Michigan
Catholic’s Katelyn Schultz, Marcellus’ Lindsey Norton and Lawrence’s Kalie Garvison have all been selected to play on the Red team.
