NILES – State Rep. Sharon Tyler is partnering with Lake Michigan College and Michigan Works! to host a job search seminar.
The seminar will include presentations on resume writing and interview tips from Michigan Works!, lessons on how to use online job search services and overall strategies for a successful job search.
"One of the hardest parts of looking for work when there is a shortage of jobs is that many people don't even know where to start," said Tyler, R-Niles. "Recently unemployed workers who haven't had to look for a job in years may not be comfortable using the Internet for their job search, so a large part of the seminar will focus on how to filter through the clutter and maximize your time and effort online."
The event takes place Thursday, July 16, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in room 109 of Lake Michigan College's Bertrand Crossing Campus, 1905 Foundation Drive, Niles.
