Louis E. Watson, 82, of Worrell Road in Niles passed away at Ironwood Health and Rehab. Center in South Bend on Thursday, July 2, 2009.
A private family burial will take place at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Niles.
He was born on March 12, 1927 to the late Loyd and Della (Neely) Watson in Rocky Grove, Penn. He was one of five children in the Watson household.
Louis proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his tour was up he wed the love of his life, Ruby Anglin, at a ceremony in Pokagon, on Feb. 27, 1954.
After 35 years of hard and dedicated service, for the Local Carpenters Union No. 360 in Indiana, he retired.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jerry and Jim Watson and sister, Peaches Watson.
Louis is survived by his loving wife Ruby; children Terry Watson of Montana, Tamijo Watson of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Tonnya (Keith) LaCava of Mishawaka, Ind.; five grandchildren, Heather (Marcus) Vigil, Charles White, Jacob White, Sherry Watson and Brandy Watson and a brother, Arthur Watson of Michigan.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County or the American Cancer Society.
